The Ogun State Government has partnered with the United States Consulate to enhance digital literacy and empower young Nigerians through a new ICT initiative. Governor Dapo Abiodun made the call during the unveiling of ‘Window on America’, a tech-focused resource center located at the Ogun Tech Hub along Kobape Road in Abeokuta.
The ‘Window on America’ project, implemented in collaboration with GFA Technologies, is designed to equip Nigerian youths with critical skills in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership—helping them thrive in today’s digital economy.
Speaking at the launch event, Governor Abiodun urged young people across the country to take advantage of opportunities in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to become self-reliant and globally competitive.
Also present at the event was the Acting U.S. Consul General, JoEllen Gorg, who described the center as a platform for innovation and knowledge exchange that will help prepare the next generation of Nigerian leaders for success in a rapidly evolving world.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment between the Ogun State Government and the U.S. Consulate to promote youth development, digital inclusion, and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
