60 IEDs Recovered on Marte–Dikwa Bridge
In a separate clearance operation on 3 July 2025, soldiers swept the Marte–Dikwa axis and uncovered 60 primed Improvised Explosive Devices hidden beneath a strategic bridge. The cache, believed intended for attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure, was safely dismantled, averting a potential mass-casualty incident.
A terrorist was captured alive with an AK-47 and a large supply of ammunition in Gubio LGA (Fulatari).
Troops overpowered insurgents, forcing a retreat and seizing rifles, jerrycans of fuel, motorcycles, and uniforms in Ngala LGA, (Mussini).
Another engagement left multiple fighters dead and yielded more AK-47s and magazines in Mafa LGA (Salekwa).
Operation Hadin Kai spokesperson Captain Reuben Kovangiya praised the soldiers for their “high spirits and resilience,” noting close air support from the Air Component and ongoing cooperation with other security agencies to restore socio-economic life in Nigeria’s North-East.
