The Zamfara State Government has strongly denounced the gruesome killings of innocent citizens by a notorious terrorist gang operating in parts of the state. Describing the act as barbaric and inhumane, the government reaffirmed its commitment to hunting down the perpetrators and restoring peace.
In a statement issued on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, condolences were extended to the bereaved families and affected communities. “Your grief is our grief. Justice will not be delayed,” the Governor assured.
Terrorists Are Running Out of Time – Lawal Warns
Governor Lawal labeled the attack as a desperate attempt by criminals who are losing ground. He reiterated the government’s unwavering stance of zero tolerance for terrorism and criminality. “Zamfara will never be a safe haven for terrorists. Every network of violence will be dismantled,” the Governor stated.

Hundreds of operational vehicles deployed to security agencies, including the Community Protection Guards (CPG), enhancing rapid response capabilities.
Targeted patrols and intelligence-driven raids are ongoing, with new strategies focusing on offensive operations to permanently dismantle terror hideouts.
Pursuit of Killers and Support for Victims
Security forces are currently tracking the killers, with no room left for escape. Rescue efforts are underway for remaining captives, alongside comprehensive medical and psychological care for survivors. The government is also enhancing grassroots intelligence to prevent future attacks.
Citizens Urged to Stay United and Vigilant
Governor Lawal called on residents not to succumb to fear, stating that these acts of violence are signs of the criminals’ imminent defeat. “Zamfara will never surrender to evil. They will either surrender or face elimination,” the Governor pledged.
The state government appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity and stand firm in unity. “Together, we will reclaim our state from the grip of terror,” Lawal declared.
