The Federal Government has placed renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam 1, on a no-fly list, following a disruptive incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Mediaplusng.com reports that the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made this announcement via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, August 7, 2025.

According to the Minister, the decision was based on Kwam 1’s alleged behavior involving ValueJet Airline. He was reportedly intercepted by airport security over a suspicious substance. Rather than comply, the Fuji star allegedly obstructed the aircraft by standing in front of it in an attempt to prevent it from departing.

Despite his actions, the plane proceeded with takeoff. In response, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has temporarily suspended the licenses of both the pilot and co-captain pending a full investigation.

In a decisive move, Mediaplusng.com reports that Minister Keyamo has now ordered that Kwam 1, along with the pilot and co-captain involved, be placed on a no-fly list. He further instructed all domestic and international airlines to strictly comply or face the risk of losing their operating licenses in Nigeria.

The Ministry says the directive is part of efforts to reinforce discipline, safety
