The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, has called on government leaders to adopt stronger measures that will ease the economic hardship facing millions of Nigerians. He also emphasized the need for a truly independent electoral commission and an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that operates without bias.
According to Mediaplusng.com, Bishop Oke made the appeal during a press briefing to announce activities marking the 40th anniversary of PFN, which will be held in October under the theme “PFN: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” He noted that Nigerians are enduring one of the toughest economic periods in recent history and urged both leaders and institutions to take responsibility.
The PFN leader further expressed concern over the state of the education and health sectors, stressing that no nation can develop without investing in these critical areas. He urged the government to prioritize policies that restore public confidence and give citizens a sense of belonging.
As reported by Mediaplusng.com, Bishop Oke assured that the upcoming PFN anniversary will not only celebrate the fellowship’s journey but also serve as a platform to raise national conversations on governance, accountability, and the future of Nigeria.
