President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to unity, peace, and fairness among all Nigerians, regardless of religion or ethnicity. Speaking during a visit to the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, the President assures Northern Christians that his administration will continue to promote inclusion and mutual respect.
“I have a mission to unite this country and ensure prosperity for all. We are making progress,” President Tinubu says. According to Mediaplusng.com, the President also pays tribute to the late Nana Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC National Chairman, Professor Nantawe Yilwatda, describing her as a devoted and humanitarian mother.
The President recalls his family’s interfaith harmony, saying, “I come from a Muslim background, and I married a Christian pastor. I have never forced her to change her faith.” He urges Christian leaders to trust his government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and join hands in strengthening national unity.
Tinubu also reassures citizens that his administration is tackling insecurity across the country. “We are defeating bandits, and we will defeat them completely. We will address farmers-herders clashes and secure every community,” he vows. He adds that economic reforms are underway to improve living standards and create lasting opportunities for Nigerians.
Mediaplusng.com reports that Reverend Dr. Amos Mohzo, President of COCIN, commends the President for his inclusive leadership and appointments of Northern Christians into key government positions. He urges the Federal Government to continue supporting victims of insecurity in Plateau, Benue, and the North East.
The funeral prayer attracts top dignitaries, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, SGF George Akume, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, and several APC governors and ministers. Professor Nantawe Yilwatda expresses gratitude to President Tinubu and describes his late mother as a resilient woman who lived selflessly despite decades of ill health.
