President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after completing a ten-day working visit to Lagos, where he held a series of strategic meetings and national engagements.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the President arrived in Lagos on Friday, September 26, after attending the coronation ceremony of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu met with leading investors, including Global Infrastructure Partners CEO, Bayo Ogunlesi, and Keem Belo-Osagie, former Chairman of UBA and Etisalat, who now chairs Metis Capital Partners.
While in Lagos, the President also hosted the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other industry leaders. He reaffirmed his government’s plan to grow Nigeria’s maritime sector as a key driver of economic diversification beyond fossil fuel dependence.
On the eve of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, President Tinubu visited Imo State to commission projects by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled a book chronicling ten years of APC governance in Nigeria. He later delivered the national broadcast from the State House, Dodan Barracks, before commissioning the renovated National Theatre now named the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, where he urged Nigerians to speak positively about the country.
As reported by Mediaplusng.com, President Tinubu also attended the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC chairman in Plateau State. He paid tribute to her life of faith and service, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to fairness, unity, and religious tolerance among Nigerians.
