Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested eight suspected cultists and armed robbers in a targeted raid at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, as part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the operation was carried out by the Bullock Tactical Team on October 15, 2025, at about 5:30 a.m., following credible intelligence on the suspects’ planned activities. The police team stormed a criminal hideout, leading to the arrest of eight suspects identified as Fadiya Ayodele (27), Lawal Rasheed (28), Akerele Demilare (27), Alimi Victor (23), Okiki Alufoge (25), Nurudeen Dolapo (25), Agboola Samuel (25), and Ayolade Victor (25).
Items recovered from the hideout include a Nigerian military camouflage uniform, a battle axe, an assault dagger, charms, and counterfeit U.S. dollar notes totaling $3,000. During interrogation, the alleged gang leader, Fadiya Ayodele, confessed to being the head of the Eiye Confraternity in Odogunyan. He also admitted to giving a locally made pistol to one Adewunmi Annadex, who is currently on the run.
As reported by Mediaplusng.com, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the officers for their swift and professional response. He assured residents that the command remains fully committed to maintaining peace, security, and public safety across Lagos State.
Authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend the fleeing suspect and recover the missing firearm, while investigations continue to dismantle the network of cult and robbery operations in the Ikorodu axis.
