NDDC Inaugurates Delta State Office as Governor Oborevwori Pledges Stronger Partnership

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has inaugurated its new Delta State Office Complex in Warri, marking a major milestone in the Commission’s effort to strengthen its presence and improve operational efficiency in the region.

According to Mediaplusng.com, the newly completed office was delivered by the current NDDC Board after years of delay. The complex is designed to provide a modern, secure, and comfortable workspace for staff who had operated from a rented office for over 25 years.

The four-storey building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including an elevator, central cooling system, CCTV surveillance network, a residential block for security personnel, and a standard warehouse. The project, which had been stalled for 13 years, has now been completed under the leadership of the present Board.

During the commissioning ceremony, NDDC Chairman, Chiedu Ebie, and Managing Director, Samuel Ogbuku, described the project as a testament to the Commission’s renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and impact-driven development across the Niger Delta.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, commended the NDDC for its improved performance in recent times. He urged staff in Delta State to ensure proper maintenance of the new facility, noting that sustainable infrastructure requires collective responsibility.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, who officially inaugurated the office, lauded the NDDC for completing the long-awaited project. He also pledged stronger collaboration between the state government and the Commission, particularly on critical infrastructure like the Warri-Escravos Road, which he described as vital to the state’s economic growth.

As reported by Mediaplusng.com, the commissioning of the NDDC Delta State office symbolizes a new phase of efficiency, visibility, and coordination in the Commission’s operations. The modern complex is expected to enhance project delivery and strengthen NDDC’s partnership with Delta State in driving regional development.
