The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully rescued 25 abducted residents after foiling a bandits’ attack on Kuraje village in the Damba area of Gusau Local Government. The attack occurred on November 21, 2025, around 9:45 p.m., when armed bandits stormed the community and kidnapped ten women and fifteen children.
According to Mediaplusng.com, joint Police patrol teams from Damba Division and the Department of Operations in Gusau, supported by Community Protection Guards (CPG), quickly mobilized to the area after receiving the distress call. The operatives pursued the attackers and engaged them in a coordinated counter-operation.
Thanks to the swift response and professionalism of the security team, Mediaplusng.com reports that all 25 victims were rescued unhurt and moved to Sabongari Damba for safety profiling. They have since been reunited with their families, bringing relief to the affected community.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, praised the gallantry of the officers involved and assured residents that the command remains committed to protecting lives and property across Zamfara State.
