The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) debunks reports claiming that all government schools in the FCT are to close on November 28, 2025, saying no such directive exists at any level of the administration.

According to Mediaplusng.com, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT, Lere Olayinka confirms that the Minister has ordered the immediate suspension of the Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo.

The Acting Head of Service, Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, is also directed to discipline the Director of School Services, Mrs. Aishatu Sani Alhassan, in line with civil service rules.

The FCTA describes the earlier report on school closure as false and urges parents, students, and school authorities to ignore it. Mediaplusng.com reports that the academic calendar remains unchanged and that students’ activities continue as scheduled.

The administration assures residents of strengthened security across the FCT, noting that the Minister has ordered the resumption of Operation Sweep and other security measures to safeguard schools and communities.
