The Kwara State Police Command confirms a shooting incident in Isapa, near Obbo-Ile Village, on November 24, 2025. The police say the attack happens around 6:05pm when armed men suspected to be herders invade the community and start shooting.
According to Mediaplusng.com, one woman suffers a gunshot wound in the leg but has been treated and discharged. Police operatives later discover that 10 residents are abducted during the attack.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, visits the community for an on-the-spot assessment. He meets with traditional rulers, including the Onisapa of Isapa Land, Oba Gbenga Adeyeye, and the Olokesa of Okesa Land, Oba Olu Fagbamila Raphael Olusegun, as well as youth and community leaders. Mediaplusng.com reports that the CP assures residents that the command is intensifying efforts to rescue the victims and boost security in the area.
A coordinated search-and-rescue operation is now underway, involving police tactical units and local vigilante groups combing nearby forests to locate the abducted residents and track down the attackers. Authorities say normalcy has been restored, and the community remains under close surveillance.
