The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, says President Bola Tinubu is proving his commitment to national development through key projects like the Lagos–Badagry–Sokoto Superhighway. He makes the comment during an inspection of the Kebbi section of the major road project.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the Minister is in Kebbi to receive ten Hilux vans donated by Governor Nasir Idris to support security agencies protecting engineers working along the construction corridor. After the handover, he visits the project site, meets with contractors and engineers, and assesses the pace of work.
Goronyo expresses satisfaction with the progress, saying the superhighway will strengthen trade, boost regional connectivity, and unlock new economic opportunities once completed. He stresses that the project is designed to be durable and beneficial to future generations.
In another report by Mediaplusng.com, the Minister urges Northerners not to be misled ahead of the 2027 elections. He explains that the superhighway was first conceived during the Shagari era but never took off until President Tinubu approved and launched its construction.
Goronyo adds that President Tinubu has started on a strong footing and deserves continued support to drive Nigeria toward meaningful development.
