The Ogun State Police Command deploys comprehensive security operations ahead of the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations to protect lives and property across the state.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the Command reminds the public that the ban on fireworks, knockouts, and bangers remains in effect. These items can be mistaken for gunshots or explosions, causing fear and unnecessary panic among residents.
Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and tactical units are instructed to increase patrols and maintain high visibility in residential areas, markets, motor parks, places of worship, hospitals, and along major highways. Parents and guardians are urged to caution children against using fireworks. Anyone causing public disturbance, injury, or property damage will face arrest and prosecution.
