President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, for the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus Meeting. He is accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yelwatda, Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the high-level meeting brings together top APC leaders, governors, and stakeholders to review the party’s progress and strengthen internal structures ahead of upcoming political activities. However, the immediate past APC National Chairman and former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, is noticeably absent.
In his remarks, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yelwatda says the party continues to grow stronger, with more members from opposition parties joining the ruling APC across the country. He describes this development as a reflection of the party’s expanding influence at both the state and federal levels, Mediaplusng.com reports.
Professor Yelwatda urges all members to complete the newly introduced electronic membership registration before the January 30, 2026 deadline. He explains that the initiative is designed to ensure transparency, data accuracy, and inclusivity within the APC.
The caucus meeting highlights the party’s commitment to digital transformation, internal reforms, and improved coordination among its national and state structures. Leaders reaffirm their collective goal to strengthen the APC’s unity and consolidate its position ahead of future elections.
