Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State formally launches the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration, marking the start of a statewide digital exercise aimed at expanding and strengthening the party’s base. The launch takes place in Upogoro Ward, Okene Local Government Area, where the governor personally registers on the new platform to demonstrate confidence in the process.

According to Mediaplusng.com, the event attracts APC leaders, party members, youth groups, and key stakeholders from across Kogi State, who gather to witness the rollout of the online registration system. The initiative signals a shift toward technology-driven party administration and grassroots mobilisation.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo calls on residents of Kogi State to embrace the APC e-registration in large numbers. He urges youths, women, professionals, and community leaders to take advantage of the digital platform, stressing that political participation begins with active party membership. The governor says the new system removes barriers that previously limited access to party registration.

Governor Ododo explains that the electronic registration is designed to build a stronger, more organised, and more inclusive APC in Kogi State and beyond, Mediaplusng.com reports. He notes that the platform allows the party to maintain a credible, transparent, and up-to-date membership database that reflects the true strength of the APC at the grassroots level.

The governor adds that the APC continues to attract Nigerians because of its reform agenda, focus on development, and commitment to good governance. He says many citizens are eager to join the party because they believe in its vision for economic growth, security, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

According to Ododo, the online registration system makes it easier for people in both urban and rural areas to become party members without stress. He says the platform reduces delays, improves record keeping, and promotes internal democracy by ensuring that every registered member is properly documented.

Party leaders present at the launch describe the initiative as timely and strategic, especially as the APC prepares to deepen its structures ahead of future elections. They say the digital registration will help the party plan better, mobilise supporters more effectively, and engage members in policy discussions and governance processes.

Stakeholders also note that the e-registration aligns with global best practices, where political parties use technology to connect with members, improve transparency, and enhance accountability. They commend Governor Ododo for leading by example and personally enrolling on the platform.

Youth leaders at the event say the initiative will encourage greater youth participation in politics, as many young people are comfortable with digital tools. They express optimism that the new system will help bridge the gap between young Nigerians and political decision-making.

As the APC e-registration expands across Kogi State, party officials say registration centres and online support teams are in place to assist members who may face technical challenges. They assure residents that the process is secure, simple, and accessible.

Governor Ododo reiterates his call for massive participation, stressing that a strong party structure is essential for delivering good governance and sustainable development. He says active membership will enable the APC to better understand the needs of the people and respond with effective policies.

With the launch of the e-registration, the APC in Kogi State sets the tone for a modern, inclusive, and technology-driven political organisation, as party leaders and supporters prepare for broader engagement and future electoral activities.
