Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, describes the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise as a strategic step to strengthen internal democracy, improve transparency, and modernise party administration ahead of future elections.

According to Mediaplusng.com, the governor makes this known in Lokoja during an APC stakeholders’ engagement on e-registration, held at the Government House. He speaks through the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Ayoade, who represents him at the event.

Governor Ododo says the digital registration process is critical to building a credible, verifiable membership database that will reposition the party for success in the 2027 general elections and beyond. He also extends an open invitation to Nigerians who share the APC’s philosophy and ideals to join the party.

Mediaplusng.com reports that the Glass Hall of the Government House is filled to capacity with APC supporters, party stakeholders, former and serving lawmakers, women leaders, youth groups, and intending members who attend the sensitisation programme.

The engagement focuses on educating members on the importance of the e-registration exercise and the need for full participation across all wards and local government areas. Party leaders say the exercise also provides an opportunity to review strategies for strengthening grassroots mobilisation and improving electoral outcomes.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the APC in Kogi State, Abdullahi Bello, explains that e-registration is designed to create a transparent and reliable digital database for the party. He says the initiative will help eliminate duplication, improve planning, and strengthen internal accountability.

Bello adds that accurate membership data is essential for effective party organisation, credible primaries, and issue-based campaigns. He urges party members to embrace the exercise as a foundation for a stronger and more united APC in the state.

Former Senator and APC chieftain, Smart Adeyemi, also addresses the gathering. He says Nigeria’s current challenges are not solely the result of the APC administration but are rooted in structural problems inherited from previous governments. He expresses confidence that the APC-led Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains committed to addressing these long-standing national issues.

Adeyemi calls on party members to remain steadfast, united, and focused on communicating the APC’s reforms and policies to the electorate. He says internal unity and credible party structures are key to sustaining public trust and electoral success.

In her keynote address, the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Ayoade, urges APC members and supporters to take full advantage of the e-registration exercise to obtain digital membership cards. She explains that the cards will enhance easy identification, proper documentation, and effective engagement within the party.

Ayoade reiterates that the e-registration process is open to all Nigerians who believe in the ideals and progressive philosophy of the APC. She says the digital system reflects the party’s commitment to innovation, accountability, and inclusive participation.

She also reminds stakeholders that Governor Usman Ododo recently flagged off the APC e-registration exercise in his hometown, Ukpogoro, in Okene Local Government Area. According to her, the governor expresses appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and continued support for the APC nationwide.

Party leaders at the event say the e-registration initiative marks a significant shift toward modern party management in Kogi State. They note that the digital process will strengthen internal cohesion, improve decision-making, and enhance preparedness for future electoral contests.

The APC e-registration exercise in Kogi State underscores the party’s broader effort to modernise its internal processes, promote transparency, and build a stronger, more representative structure capable of delivering sustained electoral victories.
