Vice President Kashim Shettima formally opens Nigeria House in Davos, Switzerland, as the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) officially begins, marking a major milestone in Nigeria’s global economic and investment engagement.

Mediaplusng.com reports that the inauguration of Nigeria House places the country among nations with a strong and visible presence at the Davos Promenade, providing a dedicated platform for high-level dialogue, investment promotion, and strategic partnerships during the WEF week.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President Shettima describes Nigeria House as a symbol of the country’s renewed commitment to global cooperation, economic reform, and investor confidence under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Vice President says the facility will serve as a central hub for policy discussions, bilateral meetings, business roundtables, and cultural diplomacy, while projecting Nigeria as a destination open for business, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Mediaplusng.com understands that Nigeria House is the product of a Public-Private Partnership and is designed to host continuous engagements with global leaders, multinational corporations, development partners, and financial institutions throughout the World Economic Forum.

Shettima notes that Nigeria’s participation at WEF 2026 focuses on energy transition, climate finance, digital innovation, infrastructure development, and inclusive economic growth, all aimed at unlocking long-term value for the country and the African continent.

He adds that Nigeria is positioning itself to attract quality investments by strengthening policy consistency, improving the business environment, and expanding opportunities in sectors such as solid minerals, agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, and the creative economy.

Top government officials, private sector leaders, and members of the Nigerian delegation attend the opening ceremony, which also showcases Nigeria’s cultural heritage and economic potential to an international audience.

Throughout the WEF meetings, Vice President Shettima is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with heads of government, CEOs of global firms, and leaders of international development finance institutions to deepen partnerships that support Nigeria’s reform agenda.

Officials say Nigeria House will also host thematic sessions highlighting investment-ready projects, climate-smart initiatives, and technology-driven solutions aligned with global sustainability goals.

The launch of Nigeria House in Davos signals a new chapter in Nigeria’s economic diplomacy, reinforcing the country’s determination to engage the world, attract capital, and play a more influential role in shaping global economic conversations.
