FCT Emergency Team Rescues ‘One Chance’ Victim in Asokoro

A young woman has been rescued after reportedly falling victim to a suspected “One Chance” robbery gang in the Asokoro District of Abuja.

The incident happened around 4:30 PM at the Powerhouse Bus Stop junction along Yakubu Gowon Crescent. According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified assailants pushed the victim out of a moving vehicle, a tactic commonly used by criminal gangs known locally as “One Chance” operators.

The FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD) was alerted by the FCT Fire Service and swiftly dispatched its Search and Rescue Team to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found the victim, identified as Khadija Salisu, unconscious but without any visible external injuries. She was immediately transported to Asokoro District Hospital for medical attention.

Hospital officials have confirmed that Khadija Salisu is responding to treatment.

The FEMD has urged residents to remain vigilant when boarding public transportation and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities promptly.
