Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating he will never defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite ongoing political tensions and realignments ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a recent interview, Fayose declared his full confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a focused leader who has shown signs of commitment to Nigeria’s progress under the Renewed Hope agenda.
However, the PDP chieftain maintained that his admiration for Tinubu’s leadership style does not mean he plans to switch parties. According to Fayose, while he may speak out on issues within the PDP, he remains deeply committed to the opposition party and its vision.
His remarks come amid growing talks of defections and strategic moves by political figures preparing for the 2027 general elections.
