Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has strongly condemned the brutal attack and killings in Yelewata, describing the incident as an “unnecessary bloodbath.”
In a statement delivered by the Deputy Governor, Barr. Sam Ode, during a visit to the affected community on Sunday, the Governor expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives, allegedly carried out by suspected armed herders.
Governor Alia, through his deputy, assured residents that the state government is working closely with federal security agencies to restore peace and prevent further violence.
