Vice President Kashim Shettima has strongly condemned the deadly suicide bombing that occurred on Friday night at a food joint in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Describing the incident as a “heinous act of terrorism,” the Vice President expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and assured that the Federal Government will respond swiftly and decisively.
In a statement on Saturday, Shettima extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Borno State. He emphasized the government’s resolve to support those affected and bring the perpetrators to justice.
> “Our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones in this senseless act,” he said. “The government will not rest until those behind this attack are fully prosecuted.”
He also called on relevant security and emergency agencies to expedite investigations and provide immediate relief to victims and their families.
Shettima reaffirmed the Tinubu administration’s commitment to restoring lasting peace and security in the Northeast and across Nigeria.
> “We will not allow terrorists to derail the progress we’ve made in fighting insurgency. Every effort will be made to protect citizens and ensure peace is sustained,” he added.
