Taraba Government Debunks Rumour on Nomination of New Deputy Governor

The Taraba State Government has dismissed widespread rumours suggesting that Governor Agbu Kefas has nominated Alhaji Hamman Adama as a new Deputy Governor.

In a statement issued to the media, the government described the report as false, misleading, and entirely baseless, urging the public to disregard the claim in its entirety.

According to the official clarification, there is no vacancy in the office of the Deputy Governor, as Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali remains the duly elected and serving Deputy Governor of Taraba State.

The government emphasized that any changes to such a high office must follow due constitutional and legislative processes, none of which have been initiated or considered.

Citizens and media platforms are advised to rely solely on verified information from official Taraba State Government communication channels to avoid spreading misinformation.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the administration’s commitment to good governance, noting that it will not be distracted by unfounded speculations or politically motivated falsehoods.
