African Chiefs of Defence Summit: General Musa Calls for Stronger Security Cooperation

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has emphasized the need for stronger African-led security cooperation to tackle the continent’s complex threats. Speaking at the African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 in Abuja, General Musa said shared intelligence, joint military training, and coordinated action remain key to achieving sustainable peace and stability across Africa. He also urged greater investment in cyber defence, artificial intelligence, and indigenous military technology to keep pace with evolving global security challenges.
