Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has completed a two-day intensive inspection of 23 ongoing projects across the state, with a focus on infrastructure, agriculture, transport, housing, and flood control. According to Mediaplusng.com, the governor expressed delight at the large number of people, especially youths, actively engaged at the various project sites.
Governor Eno explained that the inspection provided an opportunity for his team to contribute fresh ideas and ensure that the projects reflect the real needs of Akwa Ibom people. He described the exercise as a practical approach to good governance and accountability.
Some of the key projects visited include the Arise Senior Citizens Center at Ikono and Ibiono Ibom, the CNG Bus Terminal at Odiok Itam in Itu, the flood control project at Itu, the Uyo Village Road construction, the Judiciary Officers’ Quarters at Ring Road III, the International Convention Center, and the Arise Shopping City.
Also on the governor’s list were the Ibom Model Farm in Nsit Ubium, the Agricultural Equipment Leasing Facility at Ekpri Nsukara in Uyo, several facilities at the Victor Attah International Airport, the Nsit Atai–Okobo Road, the Executive and Legislative Quarters at the Dakadda Luxury Estate, the Command and Control Center, and the Arise Resort, which was the final point of the inspection. According to Mediaplusng.com, the governor emphasized that this on-site monitoring was guided by a management philosophy known as Management By Walking Around (MBWA), designed to enhance transparency and efficiency.
Governor Eno praised the role of Akwa Ibom youths at different project sites, urging others to avoid an entitlement mentality and instead embrace hard work and active participation for personal and collective development.
He further assured that under his leadership, the state government would continue to prioritize the general interest of the people over the benefit of a select few.
