Abuja, Nigeria – A delegation of governors under the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) on Tuesday visited the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, to show support following his recent road accident.
The visit took place at the Katsina Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, following a minor accident involving Governor Radda along the Katsina-Daura highway.
Led by PGF Chairman and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the delegation offered prayers, encouragement, and extended words of comfort to Governor Radda. The governors thanked God for sparing his life and prayed for his complete recovery.
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State led the opening prayer, while Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, said the closing prayer.
In his address, Governor Uzodimma described the visit as a sign of unity and compassion among APC governors.
> “We give glory to God that you are strong and ready to continue your mandate. Our presence here is a demonstration of shared concern and brotherhood,” he said.
He urged Governor Radda to take time to heal fully, assuring him of the Forum’s unwavering support.
> “Our party is growing stronger, and our unity remains firm. We will not disappoint the expectations of Nigerians,” he added.
The delegation also used the opportunity to express their condolences to Governor Radda over the recent passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who hailed from Katsina State. The governors commended the late President’s legacy and prayed for his soul.
