The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced its membership revalidation exercise in Ekiti State, as aspirants gear up for the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2026 elections, Mediaplusng.com reports.
Chairman of the APC National Membership Revalidation Committee, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, who also serves as the Edo State APC Chairman, confirmed that the exercise has been approved by the party’s National Secretariat.
Speaking to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Tenebe explained that the two-week exercise aims to properly capture and document all financially up-to-date members in the party’s register. This, he said, is essential to ensure eligibility for voting and candidacy in upcoming elections.
According to Mediaplusng.com, a monitoring team has been deployed across all wards and polling units in the state to ensure strict compliance with the revalidation process. The move is expected to enhance the integrity of the party’s membership database ahead of the primaries.
The APC leadership urged all members who have consistently paid their ₦200 monthly membership dues over the past 12 months to visit their respective wards to verify and confirm their financial status.
