The police say the ban covers the use, sale, and display of fireworks, firecrackers, knockouts, and similar items, which criminals often use to disguise illegal activities.

The Commissioner directs the DCP Operations, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, along with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders, to enforce strict compliance across their jurisdictions. He appreciates residents for supporting the ban and encourages the public to report any sale or use of fireworks to the nearest police station.
