The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Dr. Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, over allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.
Dr. Aondona was apprehended on Friday, June 20, 2025, by operatives of the EFCC’s Makurdi Zonal Command. His arrest followed multiple petitions from female students accusing him of sexual exploitation, blackmail, and online harassment.
According to the petitioners, Aondona allegedly targeted young women, mainly slim and attractive students, under the guise of offering ushering jobs. However, he reportedly demanded sexual favors as a condition for selection.
The complaints also reveal that Aondona secretly recorded intimate moments without the victims’ consent. He allegedly used the videos to threaten and manipulate the women into continued sexual relations. Some of these explicit clips were reportedly shared through messaging platforms and have started circulating online.
EFCC officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that Dr. Aondona will be charged to court soon.
