As Muslims across the world mark Eid al-Adha 2025, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has sent warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in Zamfara and across Nigeria.
In a message shared through his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the Governor described Eid al-Adha—also known as the Festival of Sacrifice—as a time for deep reflection on faith, sacrifice, and obedience to the will of Almighty Allah.
Governor Lawal encouraged the Muslim Ummah to follow the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose willingness to sacrifice his son showed complete submission to God. He noted that the celebration calls for unity, compassion, and commitment to building a better society.
> “Let us use this special season to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, selflessness, and love for one another. As citizens, we must work together to fight against crime, immoral acts, and all forms of insecurity affecting our communities,” the statement read.
He emphasized the need for collective responsibility in securing Zamfara and Nigeria, urging people to uphold peace and righteousness.
> “May Allah accept our sacrifices as acts of worship and bless Zamfara State and our nation,” he concluded.
