The Federal Government has officially announced the theme for the 2025 Independence Day celebration: “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”
According to Mediaplusng.com, the theme highlights the urgent need for unity, collaboration, and patriotism among all sectors, public, private, civil society, and citizens, to build a stronger Nigeria anchored on peace, prosperity, and progress.
Since independence in 1960, Nigeria has overcome many challenges and recorded significant achievements across various sectors of the economy. The government says the new theme reflects a call for collective efforts to consolidate these gains and drive the Renewed Hope Agenda for national development.
Mediaplusng.com also reports that government ministries, departments, and agencies are expected to align their programmes and activities with the theme, ensuring it resonates across all levels of national life.
As part of the Independence Anniversary events, a Juma’at Prayer will hold on Friday, September 26, at 1 pm, while an Inter-Denominational Church Service is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, at 10 am. The anniversary activities will also feature a World Press Conference on Monday, September 29, at 10 a.m.
