FG, States, LGs Share N1.818 Trillion June 2025 Revenue

The Federal Government, 36 States, and 774 Local Government Councils have shared a total sum of N1.818 trillion as revenue for June 2025, according to the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).

The revenue was distributed during the July 2025 FAAC meeting held in Abuja.

Mediaplusng.com breakdown of the distributable amount shows that it comprises:

Statutory Revenue: N1.018 trillion

Value Added Tax (VAT): N631.507 billion

Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N29.165 billion

Exchange Difference: N38.849 billion

Augmentation from Non-Mineral Revenue: N100 billion


According to a FAAC communiqué, the total gross revenue available for June stood at N4.232 trillion. After deductions for the cost of collection (N162.786 billion) and transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings (N2.251 trillion), N1.818 trillion was left for distribution.

The federal government received N645.383 billion, while the State Governments got N607.417 billion, and Local Government Councils received N444.853 billion. In addition, N120.759 billion was allocated to oil-producing states as 13% derivation revenue.

Statutory Revenue Distribution:

Federal Government: N474.455 billion

States: N240.650 billion

LGs: N185.531 billion

Derivation (13%): N118.256 billion


VAT Revenue Distribution:

Federal Government: N94.726 billion

States: N315.754 billion

LGs: N221.027 billion


EMTL Distribution:

Federal Government: N4.375 billion

States: N14.582 billion

LGs: N10.208 billion


Exchange Difference Distribution:

Federal Government: N19.147 billion

States: N9.712 billion

LGs: N7.487 billion

Derivation: N2.503 billion


Augmentation (N100 Billion) Distribution:

Federal Government: N52.680 billion

States: N26.720 billion

LGs: N20.600 billion


FAAC also noted that revenue from Company Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and EMTL increased in June, while income from Oil & Gas Royalties, VAT, Import & Excise Duties, and CET Levies witnessed a drop.
