The Federal Government has officially launched the RenewHer Initiative, a flagship programme designed to transform women’s health and strengthen their role in national development. The initiative seeks to place women’s health at the center of equity, prosperity, and sustainable growth.
According to a report by Mediaplusng.com, Vice President Kashim Shettima unveiled the initiative on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Conference Centre, State House, Abuja. He said the project reflects the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery, especially for women in vulnerable and underserved communities.
The RenewHer Initiative will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital innovation, and catalytic financing to bridge gaps in healthcare access. It will also expand opportunities for women in rural areas, ensuring they benefit from inclusive medical services and modern health technologies.
In addition, Mediaplusng.com gathered that the programme will go beyond healthcare by creating new economic opportunities that enhance women empowerment and community development. The government believes this effort will not only safeguard women’s health but also contribute to Nigeria’s overall social and economic transformation.
