Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, and Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of the detained IPOB leader, have regained their freedom after meeting bail conditions.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the trio, along with several other protesters, were arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow demonstration held on October 20, 2025, in Abuja. The protest, which called for the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, reportedly violated a court order obtained by the Nigeria Police Force.
Sources told Mediaplusng.com that the group was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Kuje Area Council, which granted them bail on October 24, 2025. The detainees, including Sowore, were held at Kuje Prison before their release.
Their freedom comes amid renewed calls for dialogue and respect for human rights in handling the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) matter.
