Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has called for continuity and consolidation of government policies to drive sustainable development in Nigeria. He warned that abandoning or dismantling ongoing programmes and projects disrupts governance and slows down national progress.
According to Mediaplusng.com, Ganduje made the remarks during a special ceremony in Kano, where he honoured scholars from Bayero University. Those recognised included the Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Ahmad, and Hafsat Ganduje, among others.
Ganduje noted that consistent leadership and follow-through on policies are crucial for building institutions and ensuring long-term growth. He pointed to the stability at Bayero University as a clear example of how sustained leadership has helped the institution become one of Nigeria’s leading educational hubs.
As reported by Mediaplusng.com, the former APC chairman urged political leaders across the country to focus on policy consolidation rather than policy reversal, stressing that only through consistency can Nigeria achieve meaningful development.
