Kano, Nigeria – Following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), party stakeholders in Kano State have pledged their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The gathering, which drew key political figures and loyalists, was a strong demonstration of party unity and commitment to Ganduje’s leadership legacy. Chants of solidarity and APC party songs echoed through the meeting venue, setting the tone for renewed calls for cohesion within the party ranks.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Abba Bichi, revealed plans for a landmark billion-dollar Metro Light Rail Project in Kano, designed to revolutionize urban transportation and boost the state’s economy.
In his remarks, Ado Doguwa, the Member representing Doguwa/Tudunwada Federal Constituency, urged party members to maintain loyalty to President Tinubu and emphasized the need for unity ahead of future elections.
Also addressing the stakeholders, Dr. Mariya Mahmud Bunkure, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly interventions in agriculture that have contributed to a reduction in food prices nationwide.
The stakeholders unanimously expressed confidence in the direction of the Tinubu-led government and called for sustained efforts to strengthen the APC’s internal harmony, especially as the 2027 elections approach.
