The Kebbi State Government has dismissed the newly announced coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as “dead on arrival.” The administration is calling on residents to remain focused on the tangible progress recorded under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris.
Speaking to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, highlighted the strides made by the Idris administration across various sectors. He emphasized that the people of Kebbi have seen first-hand the governor’s commitment to inclusive development and service delivery.
“From the transformation of Birnin Kebbi’s urban infrastructure to the installation of solar-powered streetlights and boreholes across communities, the evidence of good governance is clear,” Sarki noted.
He added that township road construction and infrastructure upgrades have reached key local government areas, including Argungu, Jega, Yauri, and Shanga. The government is also renovating healthcare facilities, including the upgrade of several Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) into fully equipped General Hospitals.
Sarki urged residents to ignore political distractions, saying the ADC-led alliance lacks the credibility and grassroots support needed to challenge the momentum of Governor Idris’ achievements.
“Kebbi people recognize a performing leader. Governor Idris has proven that his administration is people-focused, and no coalition can rewrite that fact,” he concluded.
