Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers during an operation around the Ikeja Shoprite and Maryland axis. The suspects, identified as Segun Adeyemi (32) and Abayomi Ajayi (24), were caught while allegedly dispossessing unsuspecting citizens of their valuables. According to Mediaplusng.com, the two men were part of a three-man gang that operated on a motorcycle before Police operatives swiftly responded to a distress call and trailed them.
The incident happened on September 29, 2025, around 7:15 pm, when the gang attacked people in the area. Police arrested two of the suspects on the spot, while the third managed to escape. Their operational motorcycle was also recovered as evidence. Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang came from Mushin to carry out the robbery in Ikeja.
