The wife of Nigeria’s Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their goodwill and support as she celebrated her 50th birthday on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
In a personal statement released on Wednesday, Mrs. Shettima described the kind gestures from the First Family and other well-wishers as deeply humbling and encouraging.
She said, “I extend my deepest gratitude to our beloved President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his gracious birthday message. Your inspiring words touched my heart and soul. I am truly honoured by your thoughtful recognition of my modest efforts towards national development.”
Mrs. Shettima also praised the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her warm words and unwavering support, especially referring to her as a “worthy partner” in the journey of service and impact.
“I feel blessed and inspired by the First Lady’s leadership, which continues to motivate me and many women across Nigeria,” she added.
She further appreciated the wives of state governors across the country under the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum for their collective show of love and solidarity.
“To my dear sisters and colleagues, thank you for your genuine love and support on this special milestone in my life,” she stated.
Mrs. Shettima also acknowledged the wives of National Assembly leaders, the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), political stakeholders, and countless well-wishers who joined in celebrating her golden jubilee.
