The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has dismissed a fake recruitment notice circulating online, calling it misleading and a deliberate attempt to defraud job seekers.

Mediaplusng.com reports that the fraudulent message claimed candidates were invited for a technical and practical screening at Kainji Hydropower Station, New Bussa, Niger State. The Commission clarified that no such exercise is being conducted.

In an official statement, N-HYPPADEC, through its Head of Press and Public Affairs, Nura Tanko, emphasized: “The purported recruitment did not originate from N-HYPPADEC. There is no ongoing recruitment or screening at this time.”

Mediaplusng.com adds that the Commission has urged Nigerians to ignore the fake notice and verify all recruitment information through official channels. Citizens are advised to report suspicious messages to authorities to avoid falling victim to scammers.
