In a decisive operation to prevent terrorist attacks during the Eid celebrations, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out successful airstrikes on Boko Haram camps in Borno State. The air raids, which took place on June 5 and 6, 2025, were part of Operation HADIN KAI and targeted key terrorist strongholds at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the Southern Tumbuns region.
According to military sources, the strikes were based on credible intelligence that identified the locations as operational and logistics hubs for the insurgents. The precision airstrikes neutralized several fighters and destroyed key structures believed to be used for storage and attack planning.
This proactive military action not only disrupted planned attacks but also reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to national security and protecting civilians, especially during major national holidays like Eid.
The Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) confirmed significant losses for the terrorists, dealing a heavy blow to their capacity to launch coordinated attacks in the region.
The Nigerian military continues to call for public cooperation and intelligence sharing in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the North East.
