NDLEA Raids ₦50m Cannabis Farm in Plateau, Arrests Six

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered and destroyed a cannabis farm worth about ₦50 million in Plateau State.

According to a report by Mediaplusng.com, NDLEA operatives stormed Tobet and Salek villages in Jipal District of Mangu Local Government Area, where they raided a three-hectare cannabis farm. The officers harvested and destroyed the illegal plants during the operation.

The agency confirmed that six suspects were arrested in connection with the farm. Mediaplusng.com notes that the suspects are currently in custody and undergoing investigation to determine their level of involvement in the cultivation and distribution of cannabis.

The NDLEA says the raid is part of ongoing efforts to stop the spread of illegal drugs across the country and to protect communities from the harmful impact of substance abuse.
