Women groups across Niger State have officially endorsed African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant, Dr. Mohammed Kpautagi, ahead of the 2027 election, signaling strong grassroots support.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the endorsement was made during a gathering organised by the Coalition for the Women Campaign, with representatives from all 25 local government areas of the state in attendance. The women praised Kpautagi’s leadership qualities, humility, and commitment to grassroots development, particularly in empowering women.
Mediaplusng.com reports that the coalition highlighted the urgent need for programs supporting women economically and creating jobs for unemployed youths, stressing that Niger State women are eager for purposeful leadership that addresses their challenges.
Mary Shashere, Coordinator of the Women Coalition Movement, said, “We came to appreciate Dr. Kpautagi and to present the challenges women face in Niger State. Many women struggle financially, and our children graduate without jobs. If he is given the mandate, we expect him to empower women and improve lives at the grassroots.”
Responding to the endorsement, Dr. Kpautagi thanked the women for their confidence, noting that while it is not yet campaign season, he values their support and is committed to inclusive development.
He said, “I sincerely appreciate the women for this endorsement. I contested in 2023, and at the right time, I will engage fully to advance Niger State. My manifesto prioritizes grassroots development, women empowerment, youth employment, and inclusive growth.”
Dr. Kpautagi assured that if elected in 2027, his administration would strengthen governance and ensure that the benefits of democracy reach communities across Niger State.
