In a bid to deepen bilateral cooperation and accelerate infrastructure growth, the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has concluded a week-long strategic visit to the People’s Republic of China. The visit aims to strengthen collaboration in public-private partnerships, technology transfer, and youth capacity building, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to reports by Mediaplusng.com, the high-level meetings brought together officials from the Federal Ministry of Works and the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) with leading Chinese engineering firms. Discussions focused on technology exchange, equipment support, and training programs designed to equip young Nigerians with technical skills in road construction and maintenance.
Speaking on the outcome of the visit, Goronyo described it as a major step in advancing Nigeria–China relations and fostering sustainable development. He noted that the partnership will enhance job creation, knowledge sharing, and economic growth, while improving the quality and efficiency of Nigeria’s road infrastructure network.
