The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command, deploys 555 personnel to ensure safety and protect lives and property during the Christmas and New Year celebrations across the state.
The State Commandant, CC Sani Mustapha, confirms that the deployment covers worship centres and key locations in all 14 local government areas, as part of intensified security measures for the festive season, Mediaplusng.com reports.
According to the commandant, the officers are tasked with maintaining peace, preventing crime, and ensuring a smooth celebration period for residents. He stresses that the deployment is proactive and designed to respond swiftly to any security threats before, during, and after the festivities.
CC Mustapha adds that NSCDC personnel will continue to demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and commitment throughout the Yuletide period to guarantee public safety and order, Mediaplusng.com further reports.
He reassures residents that the command remains fully prepared to support other security agencies and sustain calm across the state. The commandant also urges the public to cooperate with security operatives and report suspicious activities promptly.
