The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology launches a new official website and an Artificial Intelligence-enabled Learning Management System to improve teaching and learning across public schools in the state.
Speaking at the inauguration in Abeokuta, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, says the initiative marks a major step in the digital transformation of the education sector, Mediaplusng.com reports.
According to the commissioner, the newly introduced platform features AI-powered digital lesson notes designed to support teachers, enhance classroom delivery, and promote effective learning outcomes for students at different levels.
Prof. Arigbabu explains that the system removes the stress of manual lesson note preparation while providing real-time data on student performance and learning progress, Mediaplusng.com reports.
He notes that the platform also serves as a central hub for information on government education policies, programmes, reforms, and achievements, allowing teachers, parents, and stakeholders easy access to verified updates.
The commissioner adds that the AI-driven system helps education managers track teaching quality, monitor curriculum implementation, and make informed decisions based on accurate data from schools.
According to him, the digital lesson notes align with approved curricula and are structured to support teachers in delivering standardised and high-quality lessons across the state.
Prof. Arigbabu stresses that the initiative reflects the Ogun State Government’s commitment to innovation, technology-driven governance, and continuous improvement in the education sector.
He encourages teachers to embrace the platform and use it responsibly, assuring them that regular training and technical support will be provided to ensure smooth adoption.
The Ogun State Ministry of Education maintains that the digital transformation will improve learning outcomes, strengthen accountability, and prepare students for a technology-driven future.
The ministry reiterates its resolve to continue investing in modern tools and policies that position Ogun State as a leader in education development in Nigeria.
