Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, approves a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at improving efficiency, coordination, and service delivery across the state government.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the changes are announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor. The reshuffle affects three strategic positions within the cabinet and the Governor’s office.
Under the new arrangement, Vincent Osas Uwadiae is redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to serve as Commissioner for Lands and Housing. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who previously headed the Lands and Housing Ministry, is appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Mediaplusng.com reports that Gani Audu, the former Chief of Staff, is nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The statement notes that the cabinet adjustments take effect from January 30, 2026. Governor Okpebholo expresses confidence that the changes will strengthen teamwork, improve policy execution, and enhance overall governance in Edo State.
The administration reiterates its commitment to effective leadership and responsive governance, stressing that the reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to deliver better outcomes for the people of Edo State.
