The Lagos State Police Command has provided an update on the investigation involving Pastor Paul Adefarasin, following a viral video that appeared to show him holding a gun-like object. The senior pastor had earlier presented himself at the Lagos Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja to assist with inquiries.
According to Mediaplusng.com, police investigations revealed that the item in question was not a firearm but a stun gun, a non-lethal device often used for personal protection. Pastor Adefarasin also gave a cautionary statement during the interrogation process.
Based on these findings, the police concluded there were no sufficient grounds to press charges against the cleric. As such, the matter has been officially discontinued. Mediaplusng.com reports that the decision was made after a full review of the evidence and testimonies.
The Lagos State Police Command reassured the public of its commitment to enforcing the law while remaining transparent in its investigations. Authorities also emphasized that public safety remains a top priority.
