Mediaplusng.com reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chief Audu Ogbeh, former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a condolence message to the government and people of Benue State, President Tinubu described Chief Ogbeh as a patriotic leader whose wisdom and dedication shaped Nigeria’s political and policy direction for decades. He also extended heartfelt sympathies to the late statesman’s family, friends, and associates.
Chief Ogbeh, who died at the age of 78, held several key positions in Nigeria’s political history. He served as Minister of Communications during the Second Republic and later as Minister of Agriculture under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. He was also a founding member of the APC and began his political career in the 1970s as a legislator.
According to Mediaplusng.com, President Tinubu acknowledged Chief Ogbeh’s intellectual prowess, noting his ability to present well-researched facts and practical solutions to complex national challenges.

President Tinubu prayed for the peaceful repose of Chief Ogbeh’s soul and asked God to grant his family strength during this period of grief.
