President Tinubu Mourns Victims of Afriland Towers Fire Outbreak

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident that occurred on Tuesday at Afriland Towers, Broad Street, Lagos Island, which claimed lives and left several injured.

According to Mediaplusng.com, the President extended his condolences to the families of the victims as well as the management and staff of Afriland Properties Limited, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) who were affected by the inferno. He also offered prayers for the repose of the departed souls and for quick recovery of those receiving medical treatment.

President Tinubu commended the courage and timely efforts of emergency responders, including the Federal Fire Service, first aiders, medical personnel, and members of the public, who assisted in evacuating people from the burning building. He noted their dedication and sense of duty in saving lives during the crisis.

In a statement reported by Mediaplusng.com, the President further called for increased safety training, caution, and preparedness to prevent similar tragedies in the future. He stressed that vigilance and proper emergency response mechanisms remain critical in protecting lives and properties in public and private spaces.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting institutions, families, and communities affected by such disasters while urging Nigerians to always prioritize safety in their workplaces and residential areas.
